GCS/R
Description
The GPS/R and GCS/R are used as a sealing element for rods, axles, rotating couplings, pins, etc. with rotating or oscillating motion. It is a double-acting seal that can by pressurised on both sides or only one side. It is composed of a filled PTFE sealing ring and is activated by an O-Ring as elastic energising element. The profile of the contact surface of the sealing ring is designed precisely to be used even under very high pressure and at low sliding speed. Depending on the cross-section of the seal, the contact surface can have one or two continuous machined grooves. These grooves perform the following functions:
  • Improve the sealing effect by increasing the specific surface load against the sealing surface;
  • Form a lubricant reserve and reduce friction.
  • Low friction;
  • No stick-slip;
  • High abrasion resistance;
  • For internal and external sealing;
  • Lubricant container.
